Linabella's All Natural Pesto alla Genovese Sole Verde (Scape Pesto) is made with the fresh scapes picked from our hard neck garlic. Linabella's Sole Verde Pesto is made with only the scapes, there is NO basil in this pesto and NO additional garlic cloves. The scapes give this pesto a bright, fresh, green color - that is why we named it after the Green Sun (see our History page for more information on the Green Sun). The flavor is very fresh with an almost creamy garlic taste. The garlic is subtle but noticable. Many non-pesto eaters have fallen in love with this pesto after trying it.
